Thank you for an excellent walk down memory lane. Having spent some time on the track during the later years in a Formula Ford, seeing it again from a driver's perspective was a real treat. The track was demanding but the back straight offered a few seconds to relax before watching the turn 9 wall come into full view and hoping the brakes would perform as expected.

i remember another overtake Senna on Brundle in the same race, not in that corner as shown here but in the last quick corner on the outside. so it wasn't only Villeneuve vs. Schumacher in 96 but also Senna on Brundle in 92

Also worth mentioning is that silicon diode rectifiers produce switching noise, and radiate rf noise. To me it's not worth the low cost and convenience. I only build class A hi-fi tube amps, so I can avoid negative feedback... so "sag" tends to not be an issue for me even with tube rectifiers. Also, any time we build a vacuum tube amplifier in 2024, we're doing a bit of historical reenactment, so it seems silly to me to use a silicon rectifier as part of the design. It's like dressing up for a Civil War reenactment, but wearing running sneakers because they're more convenient and comfortable.

There is an audible difference. To my ears, with ear buds in, which likely color the sound, the European version has more low frequencies and seems veiled, compared to the Chinese version. I feel like the Chinese version is harsher on the high end. No matter why, I can hear a difference.

21:43 it feels so weird and "unnatural" to see the track from above with only the outline of the former oval track on the north side while nothing is visible on the south side. Monza feels kinda naked that way 😅

Some of the best racing to watch when I was a little kid. This and TransAm.

Track looks very bumpy. I haven’t seen earlier Watkins from the 70’s in colour. These famous blue gaurd rails which from driver perspective looks like a tunnel. At around 6:20 there is good overview of Cevert crash place which happened two years after.

Easily the best footage ever of the Mulsanne straight. The Matra is one of my all-time favorite Le Mans cars, and this car is a winner as Henri Pescarolo and Gérard Larrousse would carry on to win the 1973 edition of the 24 hour race...
